Levante Capital Partners at the Premios Empresa del Año

Levante Capital Partners was present on Monday, February 20th at the Business Company of the Year Awards of EL PERIODICO DE CATALUNYA. The award, which reached its edition number 36, has as its main objective to recognize and honor the work of national companies in their contribution to social and economic development and Levante Capital Partners sponsored the INICIA Award for best start-up. This year the winner was Leukos Biotech, a biotechnology company dedicated to the fight against leukemia promoted by the Josep Carreras Foundation.

The event was held at the Casa Llotja de Mar in Barcelona and was attended by more than 300 personalities, business people, managers and politicians of the first line, among which are the vice-presidency of the Government Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría and Oriol Junqueras, Vice President Minister of Economy and Finance of the Generalitat.

The sponsorship of the INICIA Prize consolidates Levante Capital Partners to bet on the talent, with an entrepreneurial vocation and transforming spirit that help the firm to form the optimal alliances with innovative and competitive players within the sector.

Levante Capital’s team at the 6to6 Michelin Karting GP

Last Sunday was held in the Indoor Karting Barcelona the sixth edition of the 6to6 Michelin Karting GP, the charity event organized by Six2Six Motors and in which Levante Capital Partners participated with a team formed by four lovers of the engine and professionals from the company.

The event, held under the motto “Compete for a good cause“, is linked to #DrivingforKids, the charity platform of 6to6 Motor that looks for causes that favor with the diffusion and with the economic collection of the day. Each team contributed an economic amount, and the entrance of the public went entirely to the cause. This year, Project ARI and Creu Roja Joventut were the two organizations chosen to receive the check with the solidarity contribution of the 26 teams that participated in the event.

All the adrenaline of a complete day of competition in karts and in which Levante Capital Partners is proud to have been able to attend, contributing a little bit to a good cause in which we hope to be present again next year.

Levante Capital Partners collaborates with La Fageda at Lluèrnia Fest

Last Saturday November 12th was held the Lluèrnia fest, the festival dedicated to light and fire, which features the city of Olot and its particular orography and culture. Levante Capital Partners collaborated with La Fageda in the accomplishment of the event and Antonio Renom -CEO of Levante Capital Partners- attended the Festival accompanying Cristóbal Colón – President and Founder of La Fageda.

The main event of the festival was the workers of La Fageda, a Catalan cooperative dedicated to improving the quality of life of intellectually disabled people, who formed a human network that raised 40 meters high by emulating a show originally created by Fura dels Baus.

Levante Capital Partners is proud to be able to contribute to this wonderful event in which personal overcoming and collective dreams were mixed in a human Xarxa – human network – that served as a playful and therapeutic element for all the workers of La Fageda.

Niöra present in two international Real Estate trade fairs

Niöra, a Levante Capital Partners company, participated in the last weeks in two important international Real Estate trade fairs:

Expo Real: Europe’s most important trade fair for property and investment. It took place in Munich, Germany during the first week of October, with approximately 39.000 participants from 77 countries. The top ten countries of origin among the visitors were: Germany, UK, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, France, Czech Republic, USA, Luxembourg and Spain. Representing Niöra were Germán Fernández -Managing Director- and José Luis Diéguez -Vicepresident-

Portugal Real Estate Summit: Took place the 20th and 21st of September in the area of Estoril in Lisbon (Portugal) with the presence of more than 150 investors from all over the world. Marking its first edition this year, the Portugal Real Estate Summit aims to attract world-wide investors and stablish Portugal as an ideal destination for real estate investment. On behalf of Niöra attended Joao Manuel -Business Developer in Lisbon-.

Niöra’s team was present in these two important trade fairs taking advantage of the positive trend and taking a step further by reaching other markets such as Portugal.

Shaluqa’s Break 2016: Back to the roots

The second edition of Shaluqa’s Break, the offsite corporate event of the Levante Capital Partners group, was held last weekend, bringing September to a close. The event gathered together the more than 60 professionals who work across the firm’s network of European offices in Empúries, cradle of the Greco-Roman civilization. Under the banner ‘Back to the Roots’, the convention revolved around the past of Levante Capital Partners as a textiles company, highlighting especially the group’s origins at the start of the 20th Century.

The corporate event started in the early evening of Thursday 29th with the official presentation of Shaluqa’s hosted by Antonio Renom, the company’s CEO, who welcomed the team and presented LCP’s strategic plan for 2017/2018, the latest news and recent recruits.

The offsite event included internal conferences with the directors and allowed the firm’s five business units -Blackwood Capital Group, Le Bris EAFI, Niöra Real Estate, Wit Consulting and WICON- to work on different collective workshops. These meetings served to strengthen synergies generated in the business day to day. Besides the work sessions and corporate conferences, there was also time for leisure at Shaluqa’s Break. The group enjoyed a visit to Ruïnes d’Empúries and a flight above Costa Brava on a small plane.

This type of annual event helps members of LCP to share the group’s vision and values and to bond closely on both a professional and personal level, encouraging and improving internal communication and work productivity across the different business units.

Levante Capital Partners completes its transformation process with the integration of Advisory GdC and the creation of Le Bris, an independent company focused on financial advisory services to retail and professional clients.

Under the authorization and supervision of the Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV), Le Bris is a Company of Financial Advice (EAFI number 191) focuses on advice in the management of collective investment institutions such as investment funds, SICAVs or pension schemes.

The creation of Le Bris strengthen Levante Capital Partner’s portfolio and its offer in the capital market completing its plan of diversification of business areas to provide full strategic advisory services.

Round table to celebrate 25th Anniversary of IQS

Last April 7th was held in Barcelona the first celebration of the 25th Anniversary of IQS School of Management, where Levante Capital Partners is Main Partner Sponsor.

The ceremony began with a conference by Dr. Santiago Niño Becerra entitled “Looking to 2060” and then the round table was held with six former IQS students in which Antonio Renom, CEO of Levante Capital Partners, was on of the main speakers. The forum discussion, “Where to invest in an increasingly uncertain world” was focused on the future of the economy and finance in a global way.

Antonio Renom emphasized that the companies must offer value-added to customers and hyperspecialization will be the major key for success in the coming years.

Opinion Essay at Cinco Días

The business newspaper Cinco Días publishes an opinion essay from Antonio Renom -Levante Capital Partners CEO- and Daniel Suarez -Advisory GdC Partner-, in which both analyze the economic and monetary situation of China, the surprising yuan’s devaluation during the last months and the possible consequences on the global economy.
